Excel/CSV Trial balance Import

Preparing the file

  • Ensure the file is either in an excel or a CSV format
  • The data must be laid out in two columns i.e. Description/Narratives & Amounts
  • Ensure Credits are shown as negatives and Debits as positives,with all in one column
  • Ignore column headings     

Importing the Trial balance


  • Select or Add the client from the Client Name search box
  • Browse for the file   
  • Select the Accounts production chart
  • Specify the year end date
  • Tick the 'Lookup Existing Matches'  box if you want the software to read /lookup matches generated/stored on the system by other users on other clients     
  • Finally, Click on the import button
